Beyonce iPad Painting
iPad Art
When Apple released the very first iPad back in 2010 I bought one immediately and downloaded the Brushes app which I had seen demoed live on stage at Apple's announcement event. Within a few hours of experimenting I knew that it would be possible to create good quality paintings similar to that I had been creating in Adobe Photoshop. To see how far I could push the tools I decided to attempt a portrait of a famous face. I found an engaging photo of Beyonce and began the process of painting with my finger on the touch screen surface of the iPad. The final painting took around 8 hours to complete over 2 days.

Reaction
Afterwards I exported the painting and a video which showed my process to my Mac and uploaded it to the web. Within a day the video received 200,000 views on YouTube and was featured in a number of high profile publications and television shows including The Telegraph, The Metro, The One Show, Daybreak, TUAW, Macworld.com and on Beyonce's Official Website.
